Quando um objeto estranho com carga positiva ou negativa se aproxima de um condutor, a superf\u00edcie do condutor apresenta um estado el\u00e9trico est\u00e1tico com uma polaridade oposta \u00e0 do objeto estranho. Este fen\u00f3meno, conhecido como \"indu\u00e7\u00e3o eletrost\u00e1tica\", leva a que uma for\u00e7a de Coulomb actue entre o objeto estranho e o condutor, fazendo com que o objeto estranho seja adsorvido e adira ao condutor. Mesmo que a eletricidade est\u00e1tica na superf\u00edcie do condutor seja eliminada, a indu\u00e7\u00e3o eletrost\u00e1tica continuar\u00e1 a ocorrer devido \u00e0s propriedades inerentes do condutor. Por conseguinte, \u00e9 necess\u00e1rio eliminar a eletricidade est\u00e1tica do pr\u00f3prio objeto estranho.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>Ades\u00e3o em isoladores:<\/strong><\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Quando tanto o objeto estranho como o isolador carregado t\u00eam cargas de polaridade oposta, a for\u00e7a de Coulomb provoca a ades\u00e3o do objeto estranho. Como se pode ver, o n\u00edvel de carga flutua mesmo durante um \u00fanico passo em frente.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Em resumo, os princ\u00edpios da ades\u00e3o de objectos estranhos diferem com base nas propriedades do material e as contramedidas variam de acordo com o ambiente e os objectos envolvidos.
